Mission Statement
To offer financial support to Estonian students studying in colleges and universities and to invest in academic and cultural initiatives, to promote, support and encourage the advancement of Estonian language, culture and society. ESF awards scholarships and grants to promising candidates, who demonstrate through academic excellence and community leadership their capacity for, and commitment to, making a contribution to Estonian society.

Our Scholarships
Fulltime Student Scholarship
The scholarship is intended for students of Estonian ancestry studying full-time in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at an accredited academic institution in the USA, Estonia, or elsewhere. One can be awarded a maximum of 6 scholarships (four years for a Bachelor’s degree and two years for a Master’s program)
- January 15, 2026 Full-time scholarship application will be opened for USA high school graduates
- February 1, 2026 Full-time scholarship application will be opened for everyone
- February 15, 2026 (23:59 EST) Full-time scholarship application will be closed for all applicants
Project Applications
Available only to Estonian professionals and organizations for academic and/or cultural projects.
- March 1st (the decision will be given by end of March)
- July 1st (the decision will be given by end of July)
- November 1st (the decision will be given by end of November)

Submitted documents that are not in Estonian or English must be accompanied by a translation.
